Gulla Pitches Perfectly to Pace Ocean View

Sara Gulla pitched her fifth no-hitter of the season, and her first perfect game, as Ocean View defeated visiting Saddleback, 10-0, in a Golden West League softball game Friday, which was stopped after five innings because of the mercy rule.
Janina Miller was three for three and scored twice for the Seahawks (17-7, 10-0).
In other Golden West League games:
Rosary 4, Westminster 0--Natalie Golda had a two-run homer in the first inning to lead the Royals (20-7, 7-3) at Lions Field.
Tustin 4, Santa Ana 1--Sarah Engle was two for three with two runs scored, and Brook Brown earned her second victory of the week for Tustin (9-16, 4-6).
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 13, Capistrano Valley Christian 2 (5, mercy)--Patty Raia was three for three with three RBIs for Liberty Christian (11-8, 7-3), which clinched a tie for second with Capistrano Valley Christian (10-8, 7-3).
