FIRST TEAM
Ryan Denihan, Royal Sr., Middle blocker: A two-time All-Marmonte League selection, the 6-5 Denihan led the Highlanders in blocks and, despite constant double-teaming, led the Division I runners-up in hitting percentage.
Trevor Julian, Harvard-Westlake, Sr., Swing hitter/middle blocker: The 6-5 Julian, who has signed with USC, set school records for career kills and attempts, as well as kills in a match with 55 against Fountain Valley. He was co-MVP of the Mission League.
Shawn Litchfield, Granada Hills, Sr., Outside hitter: The 6-1 Litchfield was the City Section 4-A Division player of the year and, with strong postseason play, helped the Highlanders win their first 4-A title.
Matt Prosser, Buena, Sr., Middle blocker: The 6-foot-6 Prosser, who signed with Long Beach State, was the Bulldogs’ first Channel League MVP. He led the team in kills, blocks, digs, aces, hitting percentage and passing percentage.
Nick Marbach, Hoover, Sr., Opposite hitter: Marbach, 6-8, set the school record for career kills and helped the Tornadoes to their first appearance in the Southern Section Division I quarterfinals. The Pacific League MVP has signed with San Diego State.
