The Chic Martini Can Be Deadly Too

This letter is in reference to “Drink Up” (May 22). We have been fighting a war on drugs for years and yet your paper somehow felt it was appropriate to write an article glorifying the martini.

Isn’t the martini made from alcohol? Isn’t alcohol a drug? Aren’t people dying every day from the misuse of drugs?

Isn’t it time we stopped glamorizing all drugs?
