Dozens Seek to Help Disfigured Woman

The Fullerton Lions Club reports that dozens of donations have poured in for Carol Guscott, a Jamaican woman who was disfigured three years ago when two men dumped battery acid on her face and body.
The club, which has paid for several of Guscott’s eye operations, said she needs at least four more plastic surgeries, which are expected to cost more than $60,000 total.
Several donors have offered to pay for an airline ticket so her son Dale can visit this summer from Jamaica. Guscott, who lives in Fullerton, has not seen him since the attack, which blinded her, three years ago.
To make a donation or get further information, write to the Carol Guscott Relief Fund, c/o Fullerton Lions Club, P.O. Box 3637, Fullerton, CA 92834, or call Robert Crancer at (714) 871-0610.
