The Plan’s the Thing

A visionary in the design of Agoura Hills, Mayor Fran Pavley has been named Los Angeles section winner of the American Planning Assn.’s 1997 Distinguished Leadership Award for an Elected Official. Pavley was recognized for her work on the city’s oak tree ordinance, the preservation of Lady Face Mountain and efforts to establish an entertainment corridor on Agoura Road. She is one of eight people competing for the statewide honor.
