Update--On the same day the Sparks lost to New York in their opener at the Forum, Utah was edged by Sacramento in Salt Lake City, 70-60. The game matches two teams with foreign post players, both of whom were late arrivals. L.A.’s 6-foot-8 Zheng Haixia arrived a week before the Sparks’ opener, just after her league in China completed play. Utah’s 6-5 Elena Baranova, starting center on Russia’s Olympic team, didn’t arrive in Salt Lake City until Friday. After tonight, the Sparks return to the Forum to play Charlotte on Wednesday and Sacramento on Friday.
