Traveling Diner Promotes Healthy Diet, Exercise
- Share via
Visitors to an obesity exhibit in Cerritos this weekend are invited to sample low-fat desserts and view computer-generated images of themselves with weight added or subtracted from their actual appearance.
Dubbed the Route 30 Diner, the traveling exhibit is fashioned after an actual restaurant setting and aims to promote a healthy diet with 30% or less fat calories.
Registered dietitians will be available to hand out health brochures and counsel participants in exercise regimens and even drug therapy.
Located at Los Cerritos Center Mall, 239 Los Cerritos Center, the diner is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
