Palmdale 41, Lancaster 16--Palmdale’s Shaun Perez rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries for the Falcons at Palmdale.
Lancaster (3-3, 0-1), in its first varsity league game, took a 6-0 lead on two field goals by Robert Le Plante of 40 and 20 yards. Perez’s five-yard touchdown put the Falcons in front to stay.
Grant Livermont completed seven of 17 passes for 110 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown to Billy Niemeyer in the second quarter.
Lancaster’s Daniel Pagnella rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown in 22 carries. Le Plante added 36-yard field goal to make the score, 21-16.
