* No. 3 Tennessee (1-0) at UCLA (0-1)
* KICKOFF: 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Rose Bowl, Channel 7.
* STORY LINE: Highly regarded Tennessee has highly regarded quarterback Peyton Manning for a game in which interest is running high, and Manning goes against the high-profile but defensively porous Bruins.
* UCLA UPDATE: The Bruins rolled up 466 yards at Washington State, but they also showed there is plenty of work for a defense that gave up 37 points. With free safety Shaun Williams out, there was a shuffling in the secondary, with Glenn Thompkins starting.
* TENNESSEE UPDATE: The Volunteers come off a 52-17 win over Texas Tech in which Manning threw five touchdown passes and his main backup, Tee Martin, threw one, but Tennessee is just as impressive on defense.
* EDGE TO TENNESSEE: Manning has improved on last year’s play, and in Marcus Nash, Jermaine Copeland and Peerless Price, he has receivers who can get deep on anybody.
* THE LINE: Tennessee by 14.
