Consumer advocate Ralph Nader and Harvey Rosenfield, author of the state insurance reform initiative Proposition 103, will be the featured speakers later this month at a free seminar on building citizen democracy.
The event is sponsored by the Oaks Project, Nader’s Santa Monica-based nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that fosters volunteer activism.
During the seminar, scheduled for 8 to 10 p.m. Sept. 26 at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, participants will discuss how people can make change through the initiative process and grass-roots organizing.
Cal Lutheran is at 60 W. Olsen Road.
