After reading “Redondo Class Gets High-Tech Homework” (Sept. 19), I have one comment to make: Is this just another proof of the saying that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? California schools are suffering, some schools don’t have enough books, some don’t have enough desks and other schools get $1,600 laptops!
I’m happy for the Redondo Beach students, but what about the lower-income students in other areas? We don’t seem to have the money to even buy them books. It is an absolute outrage and an indicator of our lack of social awareness.
