A benefit to raise money for patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held at the Midtown Veterinary Clinic in Newbury Park on Oct. 4.
The Memphis, Tenn., hospital, founded in 1962, focuses on research and treatment of catastrophic childhood diseases.
Doctors and employees will volunteer their time to help run a low-cost pet vaccination clinic, with all proceeds going to the hospital, organizers said. Local merchants have also donated gifts and door prizes to be raffled off throughout the day.
The fund-raising event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the clinic, located at 333 Kimber Ave. in Newbury Park. Donations may also be mailed to the clinic, 3333 Kimber Drive, Suite D, Newbury Park, CA 91320.
