Teachers are up for a pay raise tonight.
The Fountain Valley School District’s Board of Trustees will consider a 4.65% salary increase for nearly 300 teachers. Members of the Fountain Valley Education Assn., the teachers union, have already accepted the deal, district officials said.
The school board is still obligated to hold a public hearing on the matter tonight in case there are any objections, said Susan Grantham, executive assistant to the superintendent.
Teachers received a 3.21% cost of living adjustment last year.
The Board of Trustees’ meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Education Center Board Room, 17210 Oak St.
