Homework Hotline

A letter writer (Sept. 22) complains that “telephone toll charges are 26 cents per minute” for the Homework Hotline program on KLCS. That is not accurate. For 14 years, Homework Hotline has provided a toll-free number for callers. Anyone who calls 1-800-LA STUDY between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. will receive free assistance with homework.
The hotline was created to help middle school students with their math and English homework. In fact, we assist everyone who calls. Homework Hotline is just one of the many educational services that KLCS and the Los Angeles Unified School District provide.
