Former Neonatal Patients Return to Good Samaritan

An unusual reunion will be held today at the Good Samaritan Hospital when nearly 100 children who have spent time in the hospital’s intensive care unit will gather for an afternoon of entertainment.
Most of the children, between 5 months and 5 years old, were premature, low-weight babies who in many cases were not expected to live, hospital spokeswoman Hind Baki said Thursday.
“This is a very colorful and special affair,” said Baki, who estimated that more than 400 people will attend.
Due to Good Samaritan’s advanced technology neonatal unit, babies weighing 600 grams (less than 1 1/2 pounds) can survive, according to the hospital.
