ARV Assisted Living Inc.: The Costa Mesa operator of assisted living communities reported a second-quarter net loss of $4.4 million, or 28 cents a share, which included $2.5 million in costs related to the company’s management reorganization. A year ago, the company recorded a loss of $802,000, or 8 cents a share. Revenue was up 25% to $31.1 million from $24.8 million. For the first half, ARV lost $7.5 million, or 47 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $3.4 million, or 36 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 22% to $58.4 million from $47.9 million.
