Man Killed in Apparent Drive-By Attack

PACOIMA — A 20-year-old man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Friday night on Vena Avenue, authorities said.
Witnesses told investigators that Jesus Fernandez, 20, of Pacoima, was walking in the 10100 block about 11:20 p.m. when shots were fired from a white two-door coupe, said Sgt. Steve Cook of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Officers called to the scene found Fernandez lying in the street and he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.
Cook said no further information was available. The shooting remained under investigation.
