7:30 TONIGHT CAL STATE FULLERTON
Servite had a mediocre regular season but has been impressive in the Division VI playoffs, defeating Corona del Mar, 26-0, and fourth-seeded Villa Park, 22-14. Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson, whose top-seeded team has outscored two playoff opponents, 81-0, is expecting a low-scoring game. “They don’t make any drastic mistakes,” he said. “And in the first two weeks, that’s how we scored a lot of points--by jumping on the mistakes of the other offenses.” If the game comes down to a field goal, Woodbridge has the kicking edge with Steve Terwiske (12 field goals).
