The well in the city yard has been turned back on after undergoing four weeks of repairs, meaning brown water should no longer be running out of taps. While the well, which serves the southern part of the city, was being repaired, the city drew water from the Metropolitan Water District. That caused some turbulence in the system, stirring up sediment in pipes and causing the brown water, City Manager Daniel E. Keen said.
