Trustee Marlene Draper was unanimously elected board president by Capistrano Unified School District trustees Monday. Draper was first elected to the board in 1988 and has served as president, vice president and clerk. She succeeds Trustee Crystal Kochendorfer.
The board also chose Trustee Sheila J. Benecke to be vice president and Trustee Peter J. Espinosa to serve as clerk.
