YORBA LINDA

The Planning Commission on Wednesday delayed a decision on expansion plans for the Yorba Linda Friends Church. Commissioners want to consider other, smaller-scale options than the proposal to expand the church from 780 to 2,862 seats, which would make it one of the county’s largest.
The project, at 5211 Lakeview Ave., entails a temporary 1,200-seat worship center, a permanent new sanctuary with a 2,862-seating capacity, a new 24,106-square-foot office building, new surface parking facilities and additional landscaping.
The commission will revisit the project at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 in council chambers, 4845 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 961-7130.
