Ice Dogs Defeat Houston, 3-2

Darryl Williams scored at 4:09 of the third period to give the Ice Dogs a 3-2 victory over the Houston Aeros Saturday night at the Long Beach Arena.
Williams’ goal came 23 seconds after a short-handed goal by the Ice Dogs’ Jan Nemecek.
Long Beach (23-9-0) moved within a point of Houston (21-5-5) for first place in the Southwest Division and the best record in the International Hockey League.
Rookie Brandon Convery scored 39 seconds into the game for the Ice Dogs.
