Mark Fandel, an Anaheim resident, was unanimously appointed to the Placentia Historical Committee last week by the City Council. Council member Maria Moreno said Fandel’s enthusiasm and sense of history entitled him to a spot on the committee, which is coordinating the city’s sesquicentennial celebration. Fandel and his wife bought the historic Wagner House on Yorba Linda Boulevard five years ago and saved it from demolition. The Fandels refurbished the home and have opened it to the public.
