Time: 9:30 a.m.
TV: Channel 7
* How they got here: Buffalo was one of three AFC East teams to earn a wild-card spot; Miami is another one.
* 1998 meetings: Miami won one, Buffalo won one. In the first game, a 13-7 Dolphin victory, Olindo Mare kicked two second-half field goals and Dan Marino completed 14 of 26 passes for 159 yards as the Dolphins won their home opener. Karim Abdul-Jabbar rushed for 75 yards for Miami, while Buffalo was led in rushing by quarterback Rob Johnson, who rushed for 42 yards. The Bills had only 187 yards of total offense. In the other game, a 30-24 Buffalo victory, Doug Flutie, in his third game after replacing an injured Johnson at quarterback, passed for 206 yards and three touchdowns as the Bills rallied with 16 fourth-quarter points.
* About Buffalo: Flutie sat out Sunday’s victory over New Orleans, but will start against Miami.
* About Miami: Dolphin defensive end Jason Taylor, second on the team with nine sacks, suffered a broken collarbone in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to Atlanta and is out of the playoffs.
