LOS ALAMITOS — The Los Alamitos Historical Museum will give away sandbags and flood-protection information to help residents keep their homes dry during winter storms.
Bags will be given away empty. Museum volunteers will provide information on locations where sand is available.
The sandbags were provided by the Orange County Fire Authority, a spokeswoman said.
The museum, at 11062 Los Alamitos Blvd., is open from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sundays and Tuesdays.
Information: (562) 431-8836.
