Spotlight: Edison Forms New-Technologies Affiliate

Rosemead-based Edison International, parent of Southern California Edison, has formed an unregulated affiliate called Edison Technology Solutions to develop and market new technologies. Edison said the new firm is a product of the restructuring of California’s electricity market, which mandates a separation of regulated and competitive activities. The company, to be headed by executive Vikram Budhraja, will focus initially on developing technology to improve power-grid reliability and metering.
