Xplosion’s Campbell Has Hot Hand

PHILADELPHIA — Edna Campbell made four of her six three-point shots in the first quarter as the Colorado Xplosion defeated the Philadelphia Rage, 83-75, before 6,411 Saturday night.
Behind Campbell, the Xplosion (15-16) jumped to a 22-8 lead 5:43 into the game and led, 25-18, at the end of the first quarter.
Colorado led the rest of the way.
Campbell had 14 points in the quarter and 26 in the game. She was six from eight on three-point shots.
Adrienne Goodson led Philadelphia (11-20) with 20 points and 14 rebounds, and Beth Morgan had 17 points.
Colorado’s Vicki Hall and Keri Phillips each scored 14 points and Debbie Black had 11 assists.
Before the game, Rage point guard Dawn Staley was honored on Dawn Staley Community Night. Staley electrified the crowd with a half-court shot to end the first quarter and finished with seven points and 11 assists.
