Body Discovered Near Intersection

SIMI VALLEY — A woman’s body was found Thursday evening near the intersection of Fitzgerald Road and Sequoia Avenue in south Simi Valley, police reported.
The exact location of the body and who found it were not released.
Officers and a K-9 unit from Simi Valley Police Department, as well as a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department field supervisor and two deputies, were on scene investigating, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Kenney.
The unidentified woman apparently had been dead for some time, according to Simi Valley police. The cause of death had not been established as of 9 p.m., Kenney said.
