Xircom’s RealPort Modem Wins Magazine Award

A modem by Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks has received Computer Telephony magazine’s “Editor’s Choice” award in the July issue.
The RealPort Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 Integrated PC Card, with built-in connectors, eliminates the worries of broken, lost or forgotten cables and broken pop-out jacks--the No. 1 problem facing PC Card users today, the magazine noted.
“The beauty of this thing is there are no dongles to carry (and lose) and no X-jack female RJ-11 devices to break,” Computer Telephony wrote. “That may sound trivial. It ain’t.”
The first in a series of Xircom RealPort Integrated PC Cards, the product incorporates a modem, telephone handset pass-through and mobile phone connections in a single PC card.
