Deputies seized five ounces of cocaine from the Montalvo home of a suspected cocaine dealer and arrested the 42-year-old man, authorities said Monday.
Eliseo Guardado was booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of selling cocaine, said Bob Garcia, a narcotics detective with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies made several cocaine purchases from Guardado during a three-week investigation that culminated last Thursday, Garcia said.
Narcotics detectives say they saw Guardado sell a 28-year-old woman a small quantity of cocaine on 7th Street in Oxnard on Thursday.
The pair were stopped and the woman was arrested for possession of cocaine.
Deputies then served a search warrant and discovered the cocaine--which they said has an estimated street value of $3,000--at Guardado’s home in the 600 block of Nightingale Street, Garcia said.
