Chicago Pizza & Brewery Inc.: The Mission Viejo operator of 27 casual-dining restaurants reported second-quarter net income of $178,000, or 3 cents a share, 51% higher than the $118,000, or 2 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. The 1997 figure included a gain of $190,000 related to a fire at an Oregon unit. Revenue rose 18% to $7.8 million from $6.6 million. A net loss of $1,000 was posted for the first half, compared with a net loss of $54,000 for the 1997 first half. Revenue advanced 19% to $14.7 million from $12.4 million.
