News Corp. Names CEO of Fox TV Stations

News Corp.’s Fox Broadcasting Co. named Mitchell Stern to the newly created position of chairman and chief executive of Fox Television Stations Inc. Stern, who has been president and chief operating officer of the Fox TV stations since 1993, assumes the added responsibility of overseeing Los Angeles-based Fox TV’s Twentieth Television production arm and its domestic distribution activities. Stern continues to report to Chase Carey, co-chief operating officer of News Corp. Stern started his career at Fox in 1986, as vice president and chief financial officer of Fox TV stations.
