Lewinsky Due in L.A.

WASHINGTON — Monica Lewinsky headed for California on Friday to spend at least the next nine days with her father, indicating no agreement is near for her testimony in independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr’s investigation of an alleged presidential affair and cover-up.
People familiar with the former White House intern’s plans say there is no particular date for her return to Washington. But she will be in the Los Angeles area “through the Fourth of July at least,” said one person, speaking on condition of anonymity.
