Volunteers Sought to Help in Cleanup
The city needs at least 200 volunteers to help with the annual neighborhood and park cleanup day. This year’s “Neighbors for Neighbors” project will focus on the Joann-Maple neighborhood and Canyon Park. In the westside neighborhood, volunteers will clean up litter, repair and paint fences and remove graffiti. At the park, they will pick up trash, garden and landscape.
Food from Taco Mesa will be served free to participants. Other sponsors include the city, the Volunteer Center of Orange County and the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Both cleanup events begin at 9 a.m. April 25. Volunteers will meet at Joann and Maple streets for the neighborhood project. Canyon Park is at 970 Arbor St.
