Sold on St. Lucia

As I read your article on St. Lucia (“A Poet’s St. Lucia,” Feb. 22), I relived one of my most enjoyable Caribbean vacations. Your article brought back wonderful memories of this very beautiful island and culture.
We stayed at the Green Parrot, which had excellent food, ambience and entertainment, including the show hosted by Chef Harry.
Our Friday night Gros Islet “jump-up” dance experience continued throughout the night, even during the rain. It was like being a kid again!
I remember those hairpin curves and turns, which were frightening, but ended with a marvelous view of the island, harbor or Martinique.
Thank you for this well-written article about a most deserving island and poet.
