As a retired bilingual teacher, I was appalled at one of your readers who spoke only English and said bilingual education was good.
I encourage all Californians to study Spanish, but all bilingual classes do is feather the nests of bureaucrats and help the immigrant Latinos improve their Spanish.
Therefore, a resounding yes on Proposition 227.
