Navy Air Show at Point Mugu
The Naval Air Weapons Station, Point Mugu, recently presented its 35th air show, featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Close to 200,000 visitors enjoyed static displays, civilian and military aviation performances and additional attractions.
This event was an excellent opportunity for our community to see firsthand the significant work accomplished by the dedicated sailors and civilian professionals at Point Mugu. The lasting impressions the public receives from visiting our station help to enhance their understanding of our mission and, we hope, foster support and confidence in the United States Navy.
I would like to thank our neighbors in Southern California for being our guests and helping to make this year’s air show such a huge success. I hope to see you all again next year.
CAPT. STEPHEN D. BEAL, U.S. Navy Commanding Officer, Point Mugu
