Wes Crown (6-3) pitched a four-hitter and struck out 11 to help Kennedy High defeat Cleveland, 7-1, and clinch its fourth consecutive North Valley League baseball title Tuesday at Kennedy.
Jack Cassel hit his eighth home run for the Golden Cougars (22-8, 11-6 in league play).
Granada Hills 8, San Fernando 7--Mike Wong squeezed home the winning run in the seventh inning for the Highlanders (10-19, 6-11) in a North Valley League game at Granada Hills.
El Camino Real 16, Birmingham 1--Brian Somoza drove in six runs for the Conquistadores (15-8, 3-3) in a West Valley League game at El Camino Real.
St. Bonaventure 10, Milken 0--Zach Gallagher (2-1) pitched a six-inning two-hitter for the Seraphs in a Southern Section Division V wild-card victory at Milken (13-2). David Chaparro drove in four runs for St. Bonaventure (9-12).
Highland 10, Alhambra 6--Brandon Golphenee drove in four runs with a three-run home run and a two doubles for the Bulldogs (16-10) in a Southern Section Division I wild-card game at Highland.
