Cable Operators to Attend Special Council Meeting

At the request of the City Council, representatives from Media One, the cable company serving Culver City, will attend a special council meeting Tuesday to answer questions from the public about the company’s subscriber rates and services.
Company officials will make a presentation about broad band service as well as their new local telephone services, said Gisselle Acevedo-Franco, director of corporate communications for Media One.
Broad band allows customers to receive cable, telephone and high-speed data over the same lines.
City officials said the meeting was called because the city had received notice of a possible rate increase. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall, 9770 Culver Blvd.
