200 Veterans Rally to Remember MIAs
Emblazoned with jackets and buttons remembering America’s missing war heroes, nearly 200 veterans on motorcycles rallied outside the Vietnam embassy to push for a final accounting of those lost in action. The rally is part of what has become a Memorial Day weekend ritual. Thousands of veterans and their families are in the area as part of the Rolling Thunder protest. Hundreds gathered with their bikes in several parts of Washington, and a huge rally was scheduled to take place on the National Mall today. Many participants wore the signature black Rolling Thunder vest jackets emblazoned with patches that read, “All Gave Some. Some Gave All.” Participants ended the rally by ripping a North Vietnam flag and driving their motorcycles across it.
