Bankruptcy Judge OKs Sale of Meris to Unilab

A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge in Los Angeles has approved the previously announced sale of most of the assets of San Jose-based Meris Laboratories to Unilab Corp. of Tarzana, the companies have announced.
The transaction is expected to close in one to two weeks.
Unilab provides clinical laboratory testing services for doctors and hospitals throughout California through its main facilities in Los Angeles, San Jose and Sacramento, and more than 200 regional service and testing facilities statewide.
