NORTHERN CONFERENCE
Franklin 35, Verdugo Hills 0--Franklin (9-0, 6-0) amassed nearly 400 yards in offense and its defense made two goal-line stands at Franklin.
Verdugo Hills (3-6, 3-3) was limited to 156 yards. Quarterback Jason Dupras completed five of 11 passes for 63 yards.
Trailing, 14-0, in the second quarter, Verdugo Hills failed to score on fourth and goal at the Franklin one-yard line. In the third quarter, Franklin’s defense held again on fourth and goal from the three.
Franklin running back Dennis Reyes rushed for 164 yards in 17 carries and scored the first touchdown on a 20-yard run.
