Rasmussen Named to Superior Court

LOS ANGELES — Judith A. Rasmussen has been appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson as a Superior Court judge for Los Angeles County. She replaces Judge Alfonso Bazan, who has retired.
Rasmussen, 56, of Long Beach, has been a judge for the Los Angeles Municipal Court since 1996. Previously, she was an attorney with the firm of Madden, Jones & Cole from 1988 to 1996. She was with Keesal, Young & Logan as an attorney from 1985 to 1988.
Rasmussen earned an associate’s degree from Long Beach City College in 1961 and graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in 1985.
The salary for a Superior Court judge is $110,612 annually.
