Edwards Helps Rage Defeat Noise, 80-72

Teresa Edwards scored 27 points, and the Philadelphia Rage held off a late Nashville Noise rally to win, 80-72, before 2,020 at Nashville on Friday night.

The score was tied, 60-60, after three quarters, and the Noise (0-7) pulled to within two before being outscored 10-4 down the stretch.

Portland 76, New England 70--Katy Steding scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Power (2-2) to victory at Portland. Carolyn Young had 30 points for the Blizzard (1-3).

San Jose 78, Chicago 68--Charlotte Smith scored 11 of her 16 points in the fourth period and San Jose (4-2) withstood a late rally before 4,506 at Chicago.
