Alemany Asked to Launch Probe

Commissioner Dean Crowley of the Southern Section has asked Alemany High to launch an investigation into allegations of possible rules violations involving its basketball program, Athletic Director Dudley Rooney said Friday.
Rooney said the Southern Section has received several letters alleging possible rule violations, but they have not been forwarded to the school.
“We are going to do an investigation to alleviate everybody’s concerns that are out there,” Rooney said.
Alemany hired Darryl McDonald, a former assistant at San Fernando, as its coach in May.
Since then, four former members of McDonald’s club team have transferred to the Mission Hills school.
