Bishop Amat 28, St. Francis 7--John Sciarra’s four-yard touchdown pass to Michael Lynch and Deris O’Brien’s point-after kick gave St. Francis (4-3) a 7-6 lead late in the second quarter, but the Lancers rallied at Bishop Amat.
Bishop Amat (7-0) took the lead for good on Chris Rix’s 51-yard touchdown run just before halftime. Rix ran for a two-point conversion to give the Lancers a 14-7 lead.
Murice Law rushed for 138 yards in 27 carries for St. Francis.
Sciarra, a sophomore who is the son of former NFL and Bishop Amat quarterback John Sciarra Sr., completed five of 10 passes for 38 yards, with three interceptions, before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter because of an injury.
Bishop Amat held the Golden Knights to 169 yards.
Francis Blay-Meizah rushed for 101 yards in 21 carries and scored on a two-yard run in the third quarter for Bishop Amat, which rushed for 202 yards.
