Linguistics Expert to Lecture Today

A noted linguistics professor from the University of Milan will speak at UC Irvine today at 8 p.m. about the relationship between language, culture and human intelligence.
Gennaro Chierchia, a leading semanticist who has published numerous influential works, will speak on “What Language Can Tell Us About the Mind: The Case of Mass Nouns” at Social Sciences Plaza A, Room 1100. The lecture is part of the chancellor’s distinguished lecturer program.
