Children’s Museum to Close for 2 Weeks

The Children’s Museum at La Habra will be closed for two weeks for annual repairs and renovations.
Starting Monday, the museum will be cleaned and repainted. A new exhibit will be built.
The two-week closure also gives employees time for a break, because the museum is usually open seven days a week, Assistant Director Melissa Banning said.
The museum will reopen Sept. 21 with “Math Magician,” an interactive exhibit focusing on the mystery of math and magic.
The “magic castle” setting provides children with hands-on activities designed to build heightened thinking skills, intellectual enthusiasm and confidence in dealing with numbers.
The exhibit will run to Jan. 24.
The Children’s Museum, at 301 S. Euclid St., includes hands-on educational displays for youth from infancy to age 12.
It is celebrating its 20th birthday.
