Recognizing Veterans

* Re “Cold War Veterans Will Finally Get Their Due,” April 5:

As a Marine Corps veteran I cannot think of a bigger waste of time, energy and money than to expend these to provide certificates to up to 22 million people who happened to be in military or government service sometime during a 46-year period. The millions in costs could be better spent almost anyplace else. Rep. Rick Lazio (R-N.Y.) has wasted his time and our money.
