SEASON AT A GLANCE: Harrington, a strong-armed right-hander with a 5-1 record and 1.96 earned-run average, is one of the main reasons the Falcons are favored to win the Golden League title. Harrington, who is batting .354, has struck out 61 and walked only eight in 35 2/3 innings. He threw a no-hitter against Royal in the Pomona tournament.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Harrington helped the Falcons win two key league games against Lancaster, avenging a lopsided loss to the Eagles last month. He struck out 10 and had two doubles in a 4-2 victory on Wednesday, and he hit a two-run home run in a 13-1 victory on Friday.

YEAR: Sophomore
SPORT: Track and field
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Carroll, the defending Southern Section Division II champion in the 100 and 200 meters, has posted career-bests of 11.70 in the 100, 24.53 in the 200 and 19-2 in the long jump.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Carroll won the 100 in 11.70 and the long jump with a school-record leap of 19-2 and placed second in the 200 in a wind-aided 23.80 in the Mt. San Antonio College Relays on Saturday. She moved to second in the 100 on the yearly national high school performer list and into a tie for fourth on the all-time region list. The long jump mark ranks fifth on the national outdoor list and ninth on the all-time region list. Her 200 time ranks third in the nation this year.
